Sainik School Nagrota has invited applications from eligible candidates for various contractual posts. The initial appointment will be for 11 months, with a one-month break period, and may be extended annually up to a maximum of three years, subject to satisfactory performance and institutional requirements.

🎓 Eligibility

1. Lab Assistant (Chemistry)

• Essential: Intermediate Science or equivalent in the subject.
• Higher qualification will be preferred.
• Age: 18 to 50 years.

2. Ward Boys

• Essential: Matriculation.
• Higher qualification desirable.
• Proficiency in spoken English and sports desirable.
• Basic knowledge of computers and First Aid desirable.
• Age: 18 to 50 years.

3. Band Master

• Essential: Potential Band Master/Band Major/Drum Major course from AEC Training and Centre, Pachmarhi or equivalent Naval/Air Force courses.
• Proficiency in sports and extracurricular activities desirable.
• Age: 18 to 50 years.

4. PEM/PTI-cum-Matron (Female)

• B.P.Ed. (4-year degree), OR
• Three-year Graduation + one-year B.P.Ed. Diploma, OR
• B.Sc. Physical Education/Health Education & Sports + one-year B.P.Ed. Diploma.
• Age: 21 to 50 years.

5. Counselor

• Graduate/Post Graduate in Psychology, OR
• Post Graduate in Child Development, OR
• Graduate/Post Graduate with Diploma in Counselling with at least 50% marks.
• Age: 21 to 50 years.

💰 Salary & Facilities

Selected candidates will receive the prescribed consolidated monthly salary. Depending on the post, the notification also provides for suitable rent-free accommodation and/or free messing with cadets.

📝 Selection Process

Eligible and shortlisted candidates will be called for the selection process. The selection process is tentatively scheduled during October/November 2026.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the selection process.

 Important Instructions

• The contractual appointment cannot exceed a maximum period of three years.
• After every 11 months of service, a one-month break will apply.
• Renewal/extension will depend on satisfactory performance and institutional requirements.
• Contractual staff will have no claim or right to regular appointment.
• Applications received after the last date will be rejected.
• The school reserves the right to increase, decrease or cancel vacancies due to administrative/policy reasons.
