CTET 2026 Latest Update: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a public notice regarding the 22nd Edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). The online application window has been reopened to provide another opportunity to eligible candidates who could not apply during the earlier application period.
According to the public notice dated 25 August 2026, eligible candidates can now submit their online applications from 25 August 2026 to 1 September 2026. Candidates who have already successfully completed and submitted their applications do not need to apply again.

Why Has the CTET Application Window Been Reopened?
CBSE has stated that the earlier online application process for the 22nd Edition of CTET was open from 11 May 2026 to 10 June 2026. The decision to provide another opportunity was taken following the Supreme Court's observations regarding the need to give eligible teachers a reasonable opportunity to acquire the prescribed TET qualification.
Therefore, candidates who were unable to submit their applications during the earlier window can now apply within the newly announced period.
Important Notice for Already Registered Candidates
Candidates who have already successfully completed and submitted their CTET 2026 application need not apply again. The reopened window is mainly for eligible candidates who could not avail themselves of the earlier opportunity.
CTET 2026 Revised Examination Date
The revised date for the 22nd Edition of the CTET examination has not been announced yet. CBSE has informed candidates that the new examination date will be announced after the closure of the application portal.
