GMC Rajouri Recruitment 2026
Government Medical College & Associated Hospital Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, has released a fresh recruitment notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in various medical disciplines.
As per Advertisement Notice No. 12 GMCR (ADM) of 2026 dated 04 November 2026, applications are invited on plain paper from eligible Non-PSC and non-in-service candidates who are permanent residents/domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The appointments will be made purely on an Academic Arrangement Basis under S.O. 364 of 2020 dated 27 November 2020.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfil the minimum educational and professional qualifications prescribed for the respective posts.
- Applicants must be permanent residents/domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
- Applicants should be Non-PSC and not currently in Government Service.
- Medical candidates must possess the required medical qualifications and registration certificates.
- Non-medical candidates must possess the prescribed postgraduate qualifications from a recognised university.
- Eligibility will be determined according to the relevant Government orders and recruitment criteria.
The prescribed eligibility criteria are governed by S.O. 288 dated 18.08.2021 and S.O. 364 of 2020 dated 27.11.2020, as applicable.
Selection Criteria
The selection of candidates will be made in accordance with Government Order No. 282-JK (HME) of 2023 dated 04.04.2023, read with the relevant corrigendum and addendum mentioned in the official notification.

Documents Required
Candidates must attach self-attested copies of the following documents along with their applications:
- Date of Birth Certificate.
- MBBS Degree and JK Medical Council/MCI Registration Certificate (for medical candidates).
- Postgraduate Degree in the concerned discipline.
- Postgraduate Degree and JK Medical Council/MCI Registration Certificate, wherever applicable.
- Higher Qualification Certificate (DM/MCH/DNB Super Speciality), if applicable.
- Experience Certificate issued by the competent authority/head of the institution.
- Professional publications in indexed/national journals, as prescribed.
- Domicile Certificate of UT of J&K.
- Any other relevant certificates.
- Affidavit duly attested by a 1st Class Judicial Magistrate declaring that the applicant is not in active Government Service.

Salary and Terms & Conditions
- Selected candidates will receive a monthly consolidated salary as per the scales defined under S.O. 364 of 2020.
- The engagement will be purely on an Academic Arrangement Basis.
- Appointed faculty members will perform teaching and research duties.
- The engagement will not confer any preferential right to regular appointment.
- The appointment will stand terminated on attaining 70 years of age, except for Dentistry faculty posts, where the age limit is 65 years.
- The appointment will remain subject to the relevant Government rules and conditions.
