J&K Need Based Academic Arrangement Round 6 Allotment 2026-27 | College Allotment Notification
Jammu & Kashmir Higher Education Department has issued the Allotment Notification for Round 6 of Need Based Academic Arrangement for the session 2026-27. The notification has been issued by the Office of the Nodal Principal, Kashmir Division Colleges.
The sixth round of allotment will cover the remaining vacancies available in Government Degree Colleges of the Kashmir Division. Candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their merit and submitted preferences can check their allotted college by logging into the official Academic Arrangement Portal.

Round 6 College Allotment 2026
As per the notification, allotment against the remaining requirements will be generated through the Academic Arrangement Portal. The system will consider the merit of candidates and the preferences submitted by them.
Shortlisted candidates are required to log in to their respective accounts on the portal and check the college allotted to them.
How to Check College Allotment?
- Visit the official J&K Academic Arrangement Portal.
- Log in using your registered candidate account.
- Open the allotment section available in your dashboard.
- Check your allotted college and other details.
- Download or save the allotment details for future reference.
Important Joining Deadline
Candidates who receive an allotment in Round 6 must accept the allotment and join the allotted college on or before 25 September 2026 up to 3:00 PM.
Candidates who fail to join within the prescribed deadline will have their allotment automatically cancelled and will not be considered for allotment in subsequent rounds.
Can the Allotted College Be Changed?
No. As stated in the notification, the college allotted to a candidate according to the preferences submitted by the candidate shall not be changed.
Candidates will also not be shifted merely because vacancies arise due to non-joining or because additional vacancies become available.
Further Rounds of Allotment
Subsequent rounds of allotment, if required, will be initiated after the completion of the current round. Information regarding any further round will be notified separately through the Academic Arrangement Portal.
Candidates are advised to regularly remain in touch with the official portal for the latest updates. The notification states that individual communications will not be made to candidates.
Withdrawal of Application
Candidates who wish to withdraw their application for any reason can use the “Withdraw Application” option available on the home page of the Academic Arrangement Portal.
However, candidates should note that applications withdrawn through this option will not be considered for college allotment, and the application fee will not be refunded in case of withdrawal.
