GCET Ganderbal Academic Arrangement Recruitment 2026-27: Assistant Professor & Teaching Assistant Posts
Government College of Engineering & Technology (GCET), Ganderbal, Kashmir has issued an Advertisement Notice inviting applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Assistant Professors, Teaching Assistants and Assistant Librarian on Academic Arrangement basis for the academic session 2026-27.
The engagement will be made on a purely need basis. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the prescribed application form and submit it to the Office of the Principal, GCET Ganderbal.

Eligibility Criteria
For Engineering disciplines, candidates are required to possess the relevant B.E./B.Tech and Master's degree in the relevant branch with first class or equivalent as prescribed in the advertisement. Candidates having a Ph.D. in the concerned subject are given preference.
For Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Humanities-Management, candidates should possess a Master's degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks, with the required NET/SLET/SET/Ph.D. qualification as mentioned in the notification.
For the post of Assistant Librarian, candidates should possess a Master's degree in Library and Information Science with at least 55% marks and the required NET/SLET/Ph.D. qualification.
Teaching Assistants may be engaged purely on need basis if suitable NET/SET/SLET/Ph.D. qualified candidates are not available.
Selection Criteria
The selection criteria for Engineering streams will carry a total of 100 points:
- B.E./B.Tech Graduation: 25 points on pro-rata basis
- M.E./M.Tech: 30 points on pro-rata basis
- Ph.D.: 15 points
- Teaching/Industry Experience: 10 points
- Interview: 20 points
For teaching/industry experience, 2 points will be awarded for each academic session of not less than six months, subject to a maximum of 10 points. Experience certificates must be issued or authenticated by a recognized University, organization or Government College.
Application Fee
Candidates are required to deposit an application fee of Rs. 200 in the prescribed GCET College Account. Candidates applying for more than one discipline or subject must submit separate application forms and fee for each discipline/subject.
Documents Required
Applicants should attach self-attested copies of the following documents with the application form:
- Qualification certificates
- Marks certificates of all semesters
- NET/SET/SLET certificate, if applicable
- Experience certificates, if any
- Date of Birth certificate
- Domicile certificate
- CGPA-to-percentage conversion certificate, wherever required
- Equivalence certificate from the competent authority, wherever required
- Fee payment receipt
How to Apply
Eligible candidates should download the prescribed application form from the official GCET Ganderbal website. After completing the form in all respects, candidates must submit it personally or through registered/speed post to the Office of the Principal, Government College of Engineering & Technology, Safapora, Ganderbal, Kashmir-193504.
