The Jammu & Kashmir Higher Education Department (JKHED) has issued an important update for candidates applying under the College Contractual Academic Arrangement 2026-27. Applicants who have already registered can now edit and update their college preferences according to the latest vacancy availability before the registration deadline.

 Important Update

Candidates are advised to review the latest available vacancies and update their preference list accordingly. Selecting colleges with available vacancies may improve the chances of selection.

 How to Update College Preferences?

1. Login to your candidate account.
2. Click on Applied Jobs.
3. Select Preferences.
4. Click on Edit.
5. Update your college preferences based on the latest vacancy availability.
6. Save the changes before last date

• Check the latest vacancy position before editing preferences.
• Arrange colleges according to your priority.
• Save all changes before the closing time.
• Do not wait until the last day to update your preferences.
