The Directorate of Colleges, Higher Education Department, Jammu & Kashmir has officially released the Advertisement Notice for Engagement of Candidates on Need Based Academic Arrangement for the Academic Session 2026-27. Eligible candidates can apply online for the posts of Lecturer, Teaching Assistant, PTI and Librarian in Government Degree Colleges across Jammu & Kashmir.

🎓 Educational Qualification
- Lecturer / Librarian / PTI: Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) along with NET/SET/SLET or Ph.D.
- Teaching Assistant: Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).
✅ Eligibility
- Applicant must be a domicile of Jammu & Kashmir.
- Maximum age should be below 60 years on the date of advertisement.
- Selection will be made strictly as per Government Order No. 137-JK(HE) of 2024.

- Register using your Email ID and Mobile Number.
- Existing applicants can log in using their previous credentials.
- Fill in all personal, educational and experience details carefully.
- Upload all required documents in the prescribed format.
- Pay the online application fee of ₹200.
- Select your preferred colleges carefully.
- Submit the application and download the confirmation page for future reference.
⭐ Selection Process
- Selection will be based on Merit.
- Marks obtained in the qualifying examination will be considered.
- Experience points will be awarded as per Government rules.
- Separate merit lists will be prepared for Lecturer and Teaching Assistant categories.
- College allotment will be done through the centralized online portal.
⚠ Important Instructions
- Only online applications will be accepted.
- Submit the application before the last date.
- Fill college preferences carefully.
- No upgrade or change of allotted college will be allowed.
- Candidates must report to the allotted college within the prescribed time.
- Failure to join after allotment will cancel the candidature.
- All communications and grievance submissions will be made through the online portal only.
- Preference modification will be allowed only during the notified preference modification window.
- Fresh vacancies arising due to resignation or non-joining will be filled in subsequent merit rounds.
