The National Teachers Eligibility Test (NTET) 2026 notification has been officially released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The NTET exam is conducted for candidates who want to pursue a teaching career in AYUSH institutions including Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy.

Candidates who have completed their post-graduation in Indian System of Medicine or Homoeopathy can apply for this examination. The NTET exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode across India.

Important Dates – NTET 2026

  • Online Application Start Date: 11 March 2026
  • Last Date to Apply Online: 2 April 2026 (till 11:50 PM)
  • Last Date for Fee Payment: 3 April 2026
  • Application Correction Window: 4 April – 6 April 2026
  • Date of Examination: 28 April 2026 (Tuesday)
  • Admit Card: To be announced later

NTET 2026 Exam Pattern

  • Mode of Exam: Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Total Questions: 100
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Duration: 120 Minutes
  • Negative Marking: No Negative Marking
  • Qualifying Marks: Minimum 50%

Application Fee

  • General / UR / NRI / OCI: ₹4000
  • OBC (NCL) / EWS: ₹3500
  • SC / ST / PwD: ₹3000
  • Third Gender: ₹3000

Eligibility for NTET 2026

Candidates must possess Post-Graduate Degree in AYUSH disciplines from a recognized institute approved by NCISM or NCH.

Eligible disciplines include:
