JKPSC Lecturer Exam 2025 – Safe Score for Shortlisting Expected
The JKPSC Lecturer Examination is being conducted subject-wise these days, and many new aspirants are curious to know what can be considered a safe score for shortlisting.
The exam is of 100 marks, with a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer. As per the JKPSC Business Procedure Rules 2021, candidates are shortlisted in the ratio of 1:3 in each subject for the interview stage.
Based on previous patterns, those who score around 60+ marks in the written test can generally expect to be shortlisted. However, in subjects like Arabic, Urdu, and Kashmiri, the cut-off often remains unpredictable due to high variation in performance.
Selection Procedure
- 78 points for Written Test
- 12 points for Interview
- 10 points for Academic Qualifications (PhD/MPhil)
No points are awarded for NET/SET qualification.
Example Calculation:
If a candidate scores 65 marks in the written exam:
65 ÷ 100 × 78 = 50.7 points (Written)
+ 8 points (Interview)
+ 9 points (PhD/MPhil)
= 67.7 Final Score
So, aspirants securing 60+ marks in the written exam can stay optimistic about being shortlisted.
