Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released Advertisement Notification No. 09 of 2026 dated 01 September 2026 for recruitment to various UT/Divisional/District Cadre posts in different departments of Jammu & Kashmir.

JKSSB Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details
The JKSSB has received various indents through the General Administration Department for filling up vacancies through direct recruitment.
Total Number of Posts Advertised: 2863
The post-wise, cadre-wise and category-wise breakup of vacancies is provided in Annexure-A of the official notification.
Domicile Requirement
Candidates applying for the advertised posts must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
Candidates must possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format on or before the cut-off date, i.e. 03 November 2026, unless the last date is extended.

Note: Five years relaxation in the upper age limit shall be provided to candidates who claim the benefit of additional weightage as casual workers as defined under the Jammu & Kashmir Appointment to Class IV (Special Recruitment) Rules, 2020.
Educational Qualification
As mentioned in the notification:
- For Class IV (MTS) posts: Minimum qualification is Matric and maximum qualification is 10+2.
- For Sanitation Worker posts: Minimum qualification is 8th Pass and maximum qualification is 10+2.
Candidates shortlisted for Document Verification will have to produce the relevant educational certificates in original as proof that they acquired the prescribed qualification on or before the cut-off date.
Candidates possessing a qualification higher than the prescribed qualification are not eligible for the posts advertised under this notification.
