J&K Teacher Aspirants Demand Immediate Teacher Recruitment 2026
Jammu & Kashmir: Teacher aspirants across Jammu and Kashmir are once again raising their voices for the immediate recruitment of vacant Teacher posts in J&K. Thousands of qualified and educated youth are waiting for a fair opportunity to serve in the education sector and build their careers.
Teacher aspirants have requested the Hon'ble Education Minister Smt. Sakina Itoo and the concerned authorities to take personal intervention and expedite the process of referring vacant Teacher posts to the appropriate recruitment agency.
Nearly 9 Years Without Regular Teacher Recruitment
According to the concerns being raised by teacher aspirants, there has been a prolonged gap in regular Teacher recruitment in Jammu and Kashmir. During this period, many young candidates completed professional and academic qualifications such as B.Ed, M.Ed, CTET, NET, SET and Ph.D. with the hope of securing a government teaching position.
However, the long wait has created serious difficulties for many candidates. Some aspirants say that they have now crossed the prescribed age limit and are no longer eligible to apply for many government recruitment opportunities.
For these candidates, this is not merely a recruitment delay—it is a question of their years of hard work, education, time and career.
Teacher Aspirants Seek Action on Vacant Posts
The School Education Department (SED) has reportedly collected data from schools regarding vacancies and the possible de-freezing of posts. Teacher aspirants have been following this process with great hope.
However, many aspirants are expressing disappointment over the lack of visible progress on the ground. They are waiting for the vacant posts to be formally processed and referred to the concerned recruitment agency so that the recruitment process can actually begin.
Unemployment Among Educated Youth Is Increasing
