J&K College Academic Arrangement 2026–27: Second Round College Allotment Regarding
The Higher Education Department (JKHED) has already started the first round of College Allotment for Academic Arrangement 2026–27 on a contractual basis. Colleges have been allotted colleges to eligible candidates according to their merit and the preferences submitted during the counselling process.
Candidates who are included in the merit list but have not been allotted any college in the first round should not worry. Such candidates may be considered in the second round or subsequent rounds, depending on the availability of vacancies in their respective subjects.
All candidates who have been allotted colleges in the first round have been directed to join their allotted colleges by 5 August 2026. After the joining process is completed, vacant seats, if any, will be identified and the Higher Education Department is expected to begin the second round of college allotment.
Eligible candidates are advised to regularly visit the official JKHED website and keep checking for the latest notifications regarding second-round allotment, subject-wise vacancies, and further counselling updates.
