J&K Govt Likely to Review Extension of Kashmir School Summer Vacation

Srinagar, July 18: The Jammu & Kashmir Government is expected to take a decision soon on whether to extend the summer vacation for schools in the Kashmir Valley due to the ongoing heatwave.

Education Minister Sakina Itoo said the government is closely monitoring the weather situation. She added that schools will remain closed as per the current schedule, and any further decision will be taken after reviewing the conditions.

The minister emphasized that the safety and well-being of students remain the government's top priority while making any decision regarding the reopening of schools.

Students, parents, and teachers are advised to wait for the official announcement from the School Education Department.
