Major Guidelines
- Engagement is purely temporary and need-based.
- Selection will be made through an open advertisement.
- Appointments remain valid for only one academic session.

Important Conditions

- Academic Arrangement may be terminated with one month's notice or salary in lieu of notice.
- Engagement automatically ends after completion of the academic session.
- No preferential claim for future regular appointment.
- Teaching Assistants are engaged only if eligible Lecturers are unavailable.
- Academic Arrangement is allowed only where student enrollment justifies faculty requirement.
Leave Rules
- 12 Days Casual Leave during one academic session.
- Female candidates are eligible for Maternity Leave up to 30 days without remuneration.
- Summer/Winter vacation rules shall apply as prescribed by the Higher Education Department.
Procedure of Engagement
- Requirement of faculty is finalized by the Directorate of Colleges.
- Nodal Principals issue advertisement.
- Online applications are invited.
- Merit is prepared according to notified criteria.
- Tentative merit list is published.
- Objections are invited.
- Final merit list is issued.
- Counselling and college allotment.
- Candidates execute agreement and join the allotted college.
