J&K General Line Teacher Recruitment 2026-27: 5000+ Vacancies Expected Soon
Srinagar, J&K: A major recruitment drive for General Line Teachers is expected in Jammu & Kashmir during 2026-27. The School Education Department has identified almost more than 5,000 teacher vacancies across the Union Territory and has reportedly forwarded the proposal to the Finance Department for necessary approval.
If approved, this recruitment could become one of the largest teacher recruitment drives in recent years and provide a golden opportunity for thousands of educated unemployed youth and teaching aspirants.
For the last several years, teacher aspirants in Jammu & Kashmir have been waiting for fresh recruitment notifications. Many candidates have completed their B.Ed., postgraduate degrees, and other teaching qualifications but have not received sufficient opportunities in the government sector. As a result, there has been a long-standing demand for filling vacant teaching positions in government schools.
