JKPSC Lecturer Exam on 5th October 2025 – Important Exam Instructions for Candidates
The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) will conduct the next shifts of the Lecturer Examination 2025 on 5th October 2025. In these two shifts, candidates belonging to Education, Urdu, and Commerce subjects will appear for their respective papers.
- Forenoon Session: 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
- Afternoon Session: 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM
As per the official notification issued on 15th September 2025, the JKPSC has already informed candidates about downloading their admit cards and other key guidelines. It is very important that every candidate carefully follows the exam instructions issued by the commission to ensure smooth and fair conduct of the examination.
Important Exam Instructions for JKPSC Lecturer Examination 2025
- In view of security and frisking at the Examination Venue, candidates must report at least two hours before the start of the examination — i.e., by 8:00 AM for the Forenoon session and by 1:30 PM for the Afternoon session.
- Entry to the Examination Venue shall be closed 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
- Candidates must be seated in the Examination Hall at least 20 minutes before the exam begins.
- Candidates must carry their Admit Card and a valid proof of identity (Aadhaar Card / PAN Card / Driving License / Passport) and show it to the supervisory staff when required.
- Read carefully all the instructions mentioned on the Admit Card and follow them strictly.
- Do not write anything related or unrelated to the examination on the Admit Card.
- Check your Admit Card carefully and report any discrepancy to JKPSC immediately.
- You are responsible for the safe custody of your Admit Card. Misuse by another person will lead to disqualification.
- Before entering the campus, ensure that you do not carry mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, Bluetooth devices, or any unauthorized material. Possession of such items may lead to disqualification.
- If you appear at a centre/venue other than the one allotted, your response sheet will not be evaluated and your candidature will be cancelled.
- Bring your own stationery (blue/black ballpoint pen, transparent pouch, and transparent board). No borrowing or exchange will be allowed.
- Once the examination begins, you are not allowed to leave the hall until the expiry of full time (two hours).
- In the exam hall, you will be provided with an OMR Answer Sheet and a test booklet. Follow the instructions given on both carefully.
- The exam will be of Multiple Choice Type questions with four options (A, B, C, D). You must darken the correct oval using a blue or black ballpoint pen.
- Ensure that the oval is completely darkened without damaging the OMR sheet.
- Make your own arrangements for travel, food, and accommodation. JKPSC will not provide TA/DA for appearing in the exam.
- Your candidature is purely provisional and subject to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria.
- Penalty for Wrong Answers:
- There will be negative marking for wrong answers in the objective type questions.
- Each question carries four options; if a wrong answer is marked, ¼ (one-fourth) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
- If more than one answer is marked for a question, it will be treated as a wrong answer.
