Eligibility & Domicile
- Domicile: Candidate must be a Domicile of the UT of J&K and possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority on or before the cut-off date (03.09.2025).
- Educational Qualification: As prescribed for each post in Annexure-A. Qualification must be acquired on or before the cut-off date.
- If claiming equivalent qualification, produce the required equivalence certificate from the competent authority when asked.

Application Fee
- ₹600 – General/Other categories
- ₹500 – SC, ST-1, ST-2, EWS, PwBD
- Fee is payable online only (Net Banking/Credit/Debit Card). Once paid, it is non-refundable.
Exam Scheme
- Mode: Objective Type, Multiple-Choice Questions (OMR/Computer-based as notified)
- Language: English
- Negative Marking: ¼ (one-fourth) mark deducted for each wrong answer
- Syllabus: Will be notified separately on the official JKSSB website
Admission to Examination & Admit Card
- Candidature at exam stage is provisional; detailed scrutiny happens during Document Verification.
- Exam details and Admit Cards/Roll No. will be uploaded on jkssb.nic.in. India Post will not dispatch any slips.
- Carry Admit Card, valid Photo ID (Aadhaar/Voter ID/Driving License/PAN/Passport/School-College/Employer ID) and two recent passport photos.
Reservation & Documents
- Reservation applicable as per J&K Reservation Act/Rules. Upload valid category certificate strictly as on the cut-off date while submitting the form.
- No further chance to upload documents later; claims will be verified by the Appointing Authority.
Misconduct / Malpractice
If any candidate is found indulging in irregularity/misconduct at any stage, debarment and other penal actions under rules shall follow, in addition to cancellation of candidature.
