Jammu & Kashmir Combined Competitive (JKAS) – Simple guide for candidates

Who can apply? (Eligibility)

  • Domicile: Must be a domicile of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir.
  • Education: Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized university in India or an equivalent foreign university recognized by the Government.
  • Final year / appeared candidates: Allowed, but you must have qualified by the last date for filling the JKAS Preliminary application i.e. 24-09-2025.
  • MBBS/Medical candidates: Those who passed the final professional exam but are yet to complete internship may apply provisionally, by uploading a certificate from the concerned University/Institution. All requirements (including internship) must be completed before the Main Exam interview.

Notes: In-service candidates must have completed 2 years of substantive service on 01-01-2025 to claim age relaxation. Candidates already holding a civil post in J&K must upload the required documents to claim upper age benefits.
