Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in the applicable grading system) in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from a recognized Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
A relaxation of 5% marks is permissible for the categories mentioned in the official advertisement, as applicable, without including any grace marks procedure.
Candidates must also fulfil the applicable requirements regarding NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. as prescribed in the recruitment notification and UGC regulations.
Candidates who fulfil the prescribed conditions relating to Ph.D. awarded under the provisions mentioned in the notification may be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET, subject to fulfilment and certification of the specified conditions.
Shortlisting of Candidates
As per the advertisement, 20 candidates will be shortlisted for interview against each post. In case the number of posts exceeds one, an additional five applicants shall be shortlisted in order of merit for every additional post.
Merit List Criteria
The University has mentioned that the merit list of eligible candidates will be prepared as provided in the relevant UGC Guidelines (Table 3-A). Academic record, M.Phil./Ph.D., NET with JRF and other prescribed qualifications/achievements will be considered according to the applicable criteria mentioned in the official notification.
