🌧️ Forecast (25–26 Aug)
- Jammu Division: Possibility of intense / heavy to very heavy rain at a few places (Jammu, Reasi, Udhampur, Samba, Kathua, Ramban).
- Kashmir Division: Heavy rain expected at some places.
⚠️ Possible hazards
- Cloudbursts and flash floods
- Landslides and mudslides in hilly areas
- Waterlogging and river / nallah overflow
- Damage to weak or loose structures
🛡️ Safety advice (What you should do)
- Avoid going near rivers, nallahs and low-lying areas during heavy rain.
- Do not travel on landslide-prone hilly roads while it is raining heavily.
- If you live in a flood-prone area, move important documents, medicines and valuables to higher ground.
- Keep torch, first-aid, drinking water and emergency phone numbers ready.
- Secure loose objects around the house and check drainage paths to avoid waterlogging.
- Listen to local authorities and follow evacuation orders if issued.
- Farmers: move livestock to safe ground and protect high-value crops if possible.
